Banned Books Week

Banned Books Week is an annual observance that celebrates the freedom to read and raises awareness about attempts to remove or restrict access to books in schools and libraries. It encourages readers to explore diverse perspectives, engage with challenging ideas, and recognize the importance of intellectual freedom and the First Amendment. Libraries play a vital role in providing access to a wide range of viewpoints, empowering individuals to read, learn, and make informed decisions for themselves.
