Constitution Day

Constitution Day, celebrated each year on September 17, marks the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787 and honors all who have become U.S. citizens. The observance encourages learning about the Constitution, the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, and civic engagement. Colleges and universities that receive federal funding are required to offer educational programming related to the U.S. Constitution, making Constitution Day an opportunity for students to explore the foundations of American government and participate in meaningful civic dialogue.
